Places that have stayed with me.
It's strange how clearly I remember the way each of these places affected me. Each one carried its own emotional weight.
Some felt welcoming. Others felt resistant. Each was a quiet negotiation between my presence and whatever already existed there.
Some stayed with me. Others kept a small part of me behind — a feeling I know is still there, somewhere.
Each place changed me. And I hope, in some small way, I changed it too.

Battleship USS North Carolina (BB-55) —Wilmington,NC
A magnificently preserved battleship, haunted by a past few of us can fully comprehend.
Fort Mifflin — Philadelphia, PA
A Revolutionary & Civil War fort that sometimes felt alive with the memory of war.
Presidio La Bahia — Goliad, TX
Site of a massacre that claimed hundreds of Texian soldiers. Quiet and solemn.
Victoria's Black Swan Inn — San Antonio, TX
Historic site of the Battle of Salado Creek. Especially eerie after dark.

Blackford County Jail — Hartford City, IN
Beneath this unassuming jail lies a claustraphobic maze of dark stone tunnels.
West Virginia Penitentiary — Moundsville, WV
Massive. Oppresive. Impossible to take in alone in a single night. Overwhelming.
Lavaca County Jail — Halletsville, TX
A small county jail, unusually active—marked by faint sounds of voices and distant conversations.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium — Louisville, KY
Known for reports of Shadow People. It did not disappoint.
Yorktown Memorial Hospital — Yorktown, TX
Often referred to as "the EVP hospital". I recorded some of the cleanest EVP here.
Randolph County Infirmary — Randolph County, IN
Isolated. Immaculately maintained. Quietly intimidating—especially the basement.
Indiana State Sanatorium — Parke County, IN
A Psychiatric hospital, a nursing home, and tuberculosis sanatorium share the grounds.
Madison Seminary — Madison, OH
Foreboding and inviting. Outside, I felt its presence—as if it were aware.
